Marcin Jaroszek, PhD, is Senior Lecturer at the Institute of English Studies
of the Jagiellonian University and the head of the Modern Languages Institute
of the Witold Pilecki State School of Higher Education in Oświęcim. He was
awarded his doctoral degree in the humanities in 2009. During the same year he
was appointed Assistant to the Head of the Teacher Training College of the
Jagiellonian University. Between 2010 and 2014 he was the Coordinator for
Student and Educational Affairs for the Combined English Philology and German
Language programme offered by the English Philology Department of the Jagiellonian
University, as well as being the Head of the Practical English and Linguistics
Section of the State School of Higher Education in Oświęcim.
He has taught a variety of courses,
from applied linguistics to the history of Great Britain to intercultural communication.
Although his major research interests include spoken discourse analysis and its
applicability to classroom contexts, his artistic soul drives him constantly to
research areas typically reserved for cultural researchers. As a self-taught
musician, he has been involved in a number of projects to bridge the gap
between the world of professional music making and that of amateur audiences.
These have included song-writing and audio-drama recordings, as well as
music mixing and mastering.
His role in theAboutProject.com is
to serve as a link between the musical imagination of Anna Dębowska and the
theoretical inexhaustibility of Marek Kucharski. He is also the Manager of theAboutProject.com.
Marcin Jaroszek has recently co-edited
the publication entitled "Perspectives on Past Achievements, Present
Realities and Future Prospect". His other recent publications include
